Biography of Mark Zuckerberg, creator of Facebook and leader in the social media movement
Mark Zuckerberg's story is one of success. As a child Zuckerberg always had an interest in computers. When he was about 12 he used Atari BASIC to create a basic messaging program. He also made several computer games just for fun. In high school he continued to excel in technology. He created an early version of the music service Pandora, companies like AOL and Microsoft showed interest in his program, however he declined the offers. After graduating high school, Mark Zuckerberg went onto college where he attended Harvard University. When he first created Facebook he ran it out of his dorm room, but soon dropped out of college to run the site full time. Soon the social network gained more and more popularity. In 2010 Forbes ranked Zuckerberg at No. 35, in their top 400 list. He even beat out Steve Jobs, estimating his net worth to be $6.9 billion. After his rise in popularity screen writer Aaron Sorkin created the critically acclaimed movie Social Networking based on Zuckerberg's story. However, Zuckerberg strongly objected to the narrative stating many of the details were inaccurate.

Zuckerberg has become a leader in innovation. He went from a college student to a billionaire. He was able to find something that was useful, and create a successful business from it. Zuckerberg saw a need for an easy way to connect to each other and share each other's lives. He saw the need and found an efficient solution for it. He has helped lead us into the new age of Social Media and Connection.
